Freshwater

There are lots of different techinques to fishing.

Bass:  If you fish in freshwater and you fish for bass you usually should use a plastic worm texes or carolina rigged. There are lots of fancy lures to catch bass, but if really want to catch a hog you should use a live shiner on a 2/0 or a 3/0 hook!

Crappie: The best way to catch crappie, is to use a minnow or a crappie jig.

Bluegill: The easiest way to catch bluegills is to take an old fishing pole with no reel on it and tie a not on one of the loops and let some line out of a spool and put a #10 hook on it. You should use little bread balls as bait.    

Saltwater

Inshore Fishing

Redfish: If you fish in saltwater and you fish for redfish you can catch tons of fish, if you toss a live handpicked shrimp under a dock or use a white bait on a #4 circle hook. You can also catch redfish on D.O.A. lures or rapala lures.

Mangrove Snapper: You can catch a mangrove snapper on a live shrimp or you can use a white bait o.n a #4 circle hook. Snook: You can catch snook on a live shrimp, white bait, and lures.

Trout: You can catch trout usually in the grass flats. You should use the D.O.A. Deadly Combination rig. You can also use a live shrimp on a #4 circle hook.

Black Drum: You can catch black drum on a live shrimp with a circle hook.

Tarpon: Tarpon are usually crab eaters, so you should use a blue crab and a circle hook.

Pompano: You should probably use a pompano jig with a shrimp on the hook of the jig.

Spanish Mackeral: Spanish mackeral have sharp teeth, so you should have line that is really tough. You should use a shrimp with a circle hook on it.

Snook: You cant beat a live shrimp, but you can use many lures, such as the Rapala x-rap or a Mirrolure.


Nearshore and Offshore Fishing

Tripletail: You can catch tripletail on live shrimp on a circle hook, a bucktail jig tipped with shrimp, or a D.O.A. shrimp. 

King Mackeral: There are lots of different ways to catch mackeral, but you should slow troll herring.

Sailfish: If you troll for sailfish you should probably slow troll thread fin herring.

Dolphin (Mahi Mahi/ Dorado): You can catch dolphin if you use a pilchard, sardine, or other types of baits.

Swordfish: You can catch a swordfish if you use squid or a blue runner.

Gag Grouper: Grouper are bottom fish, so you should use a fish finder rig with a pinfish if you want  to catch yourself a gag grouper.

Cobia(Ling): Cobia will eat almost anything you place in front of them, so there are lots of baits they will eat, but you can use a jerk bait, or any live bait such as pinfish.
